Anonymous Sudan was reported by threat intelligence company SOCRadar to have launched the attack following the decision of Telegram to suspend their main account. SOCRadar noted that Anonymous Sudan had its main Telegram channel temporarily moved amid the suspension. Such a DDoS intrusion comes after X, formerly known as Twitter, was also targeted by the group in an effort to hasten the launch of the Starlink satellite internet service, also owned by Elon Musk, in Sudan.

The kittens were among 23 Ragdoll cats left abandoned in cardboard boxes on the porch of the Aldergrove Animal Clinic in late July. Four breeding cats and 19 kittens were discovered in varying states of unwell, malnourished, underweight and some with severe eye conditions. "All were afflicted with severe conjunctivitis or diarrhea or both, and so they were all quite ill and required treatment," said Aldergrove Animal Clinic Veterinarian Virginia Cornell.
