news12-31-2022New Delhi, Dec 31 (IANS) Global cellular internet of things (IoT) module shipments grew by only 2 per cent (on-year) in Q3 2022, as China led the market followed by North America and Europe.According to a report by Counterpoint Research, China's shipments decreased 8 per cent (YoY) in Q3 due to a resurgence of Covid-19 cases.Automotive, router/CPE, PC, industrial and point of sale (POS) were the top five applications in terms of value in Q3.However, some of this demand decline was offset by an increase in the residential, smart door lock, patient monitoring, registrar device, smoke detector, drone, smart meter and automotive applications.glamsham

news12-31-2022Humanity's rapid globalisation and excessive existence over the past 50 years has triggered an uncontrolled warming of the planet, locking the 'interlinked emergencies' of climate change and biodiversity loss on fast-forward. As UN Chief, Antonio Guterres, said in his opening speech at the UN Biodiversity Conference (COP 15) held earlier this month in Canada, 'We are waging a war on nature.' As a result, in less than a lifetime, the world has lost almost 70% of its global wildlife populations, over one million plants and animals are threatened with extinction, and the forest, ocean, and river ecosystems that were once full of life, are fast being degraded.impakter

news12-31-2022Your browser does not support the audio element. VATICAN CITY (CNS) -- Like any bona fide cat lover, Pope Benedict XVI's face would light up and his hand would reach out at the sight of a fluffy feline -- even when that soft bundle of fur was a squirming, feisty lion cub brought to the Vatican by visiting circus performers. His comments about how animals must be respected as "companions in creation" earned him high marks with animal welfare groups, including the Humane Society of the United States and People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.thebostonpilot

news12-31-2022Zoomies are a type of frenetic random activity period where a dog seems to suddenly explode with energy. Picture: SUPPLIED What a great way to start the New Year – with enough energy to have a zoomie. Some of our cats might celebrate the new year (or just life) by the art of the Zoomie. It is called FRAPing in veterinary behavior circles. Frenetic random activity periods is what the FRAP stands for. A whirlwind of hair enters the room then is gone – up the curtain, into another room or under your chair.fijitimes

news12-31-2022Philly's sizable population of stray cats, estimated to be around 400,000 before the pandemic, appears to have stayed relatively stable over the past couple of years, despite a documented surge of cats landing at animal shelters nationwide. That's likely thanks to 'a positive trend' of grassroots coordination, said Sarah Barnett, interim co-executive director of the Animal Care and Control Team of Philadelphia, which keeps track of the situation. A network of animal welfare organizations have been helping pick up the slack since city funding for ACCT was slashed during COVID.billypenn

news12-31-2022A lot of cat owners are adamant about their cats not venturing outside, but some cat owners could not disagree more. We've come across a lot of discussion on the subject, including a delightful Reddit thread featuring a video explaining why one Reddit user takes their cat on walks, and the reasons are obvious. Cats love basking in the sunlight and interacting with grass and flowers! If there is a safe space that you can let your cats out, on a leash of course, then indulge them with a walk in the sun every now and then! Just like us humans, cats have varying personality traits and not all of them feel the same way about the great outdoors.msn

news12-31-2022On average, cats sleep around 15 hours a day, but these playful cat breeds prove that just because they like to curl up for a good nap, doesn't make them lazy. While our feline furkids tend to be more independent and low maintenance than dogs, there are plenty of cat breeds that have just as much energy and need just as much attention. Whether it's playing with cat toys or engaging in a game of chase in the backyard, there are plenty of cat breeds that will be more than happy to show you their fun side.msn

news12-31-2022Tops, sweaters and dresses with the cold shoulder design were a big hit years ago [Pinterest] Fashion choice is a very subjective thing. And to be honest when you're just living your life and minding your business, you don't have time to think about whether what you're wearing is in season or not. But at the same time, it can be a little embarrassing to notice that your style is dated. It's not a big deal but, it would be nice to feel like you're blending in with others. 2022, like every other year, has a list of fashion pieces that need to retire.standardmedia.ke
