The meeting was moderated by Paul Greufe, who is the the county's human resource director. Castillo was hired this summer to be trained and eventually replace EMA Director Jo Duckworth in July 2024. Castillo started work in July. Greufe said on Aug. 28 he was contacted by Duckworth about concerns with Castillo and her performance.

Suspected Iranian hackers recently launched a new cyber espionage operation, infecting their victims with the newly discovered Menorah malware, according to a report published Friday. The hacking group APT34, also known as OilRig, Cobalt Gypsy, IRN2 and Helix Kitten, is believed to be based in Iran. It has been targeting Middle Eastern countries since at least 2014, mostly focusing on government organizations and businesses in the financial, energy, chemical, and telecommunications sectors. In their most recent campaign, which began in August, the hackers sent phishing emails to victims believed to be based in Saudi Arabia, ultimately infecting them with the Menorah malware, according to researchers from Trend Micro.

The three kittens are still at the age of being bottle-fed and have been placed in a foster home, the SPCA said in a Facebook post. The kittens were originally believed to be found in Medina County; however, they were found in Wayne County, where there is no Humane Officer and animal abandonment cases are not investigated.

The Cafe Meow, a cat cafe that helps rehome rescue cats, has officially moved to a revamped space in Roseville, Minn. Animal rescue volunteers have described their shock after finding four dead kittens dumped on a Co Donegal beach. Her wine was chosen because it is organic and environmentally friendly – causes close to the King's heart.  'I received a text from the Bordeaux wine council saying: Would you like to let King Charles taste your wine?'' said Noémie Tanneau, whose vineyard is in the Lussac-Saint-Emilion wine growing area.
